The technical examination for judicial police officers of the national gendarmerie, organised each year during the last quarter, comprises:
1° A practical written test in general criminal law and special criminal law (duration: three hours-coefficient 2);
2° A practical written test in criminal procedure on a case of crime or misdemeanour (duration: four hours-coefficient 3);
3° A written test simulating a telephone report to the public prosecutor based on a practical investigation case (duration: one hour-coefficient 1).
The value of each test is established by a mark from 0 to 20.
Any mark equal to or less than 5 in one of the tests is eliminatory.
No one may be considered to have passed the examination if they do not score at least 60 points for all three tests together.
