Article A424-1 of the French Sports Code

I. – The Commission of the National Centre for the Development of Sport in French Polynesia comprises on an equal basis:

1° In addition to the High Commissioner of the Republic in French Polynesia, territorial delegate of the National Centre for the Development of Sport and the deputy territorial delegate, ex officio members:

a) On the one hand, four representatives of French Polynesia, including the President of French Polynesia, ex officio members, or his representative ;

b) On the other hand, four representatives of the sporting movement, including the President of the Olympic Committee of French Polynesia, ex officio member, or his representative.

The Commission of the National Centre for the Development of Sport in French Polynesia is chaired by the President of French Polynesia or his representative.

II – The President of French Polynesia appoints the representatives of French Polynesia to the Commission.

The President of the Olympic Committee of French Polynesia appoints the representatives of the sporting movement, at least one of whom is from an Olympic discipline.

The members of the Commission of the National Centre for the Development of Sport in French Polynesia other than the ex-officio members are appointed by the President of French Polynesia. For each of these members, an alternate is appointed under the same conditions.

With the exception of the ex-officio members, the members of the Commission and their alternates are appointed for a term of four years, renewable once.

However, the term of office of the members of the first committee ends on 31 December 2011.

If a member of this committee loses the capacity for which he was appointed, he shall automatically resign.

Article A424-1

I. ― La commission du Centre national pour le développement du sport en Polynésie française comprend de façon paritaire :

1° Outre le haut-commissaire de la République en Polynésie française, délégué territorial du Centre national pour le développement du sport et le délégué territorial adjoint, membres de droit :

a) D’une part, quatre représentants de la Polynésie française, dont le président de la Polynésie française, membres de droit, ou son représentant ;

b) D’autre part, quatre représentants du mouvement sportif, dont le président du comité olympique de Polynésie française, membre de droit, ou son représentant.

La commission du Centre national pour le développement du sport en Polynésie française est présidée par le président de la Polynésie française ou son représentant.

II. ― Le président de la Polynésie française désigne les représentants de la Polynésie française à la commission.

Le président du comité olympique de Polynésie française désigne les représentants du mouvement sportif dont un, au moins, est issu d’une discipline olympique.

Les membres de la commission du Centre national pour le développement du sport en Polynésie française autres que les membres de droit sont nommés par le président de la Polynésie française. Pour chacun de ces membres, un suppléant est désigné dans les mêmes conditions.

A l’exception des membres de droit, les membres de la commission ainsi que leurs suppléants sont nommés pour une durée de quatre ans, renouvelable une fois.

Toutefois, le mandat des membres de la première commission prend fin le 31 décembre 2011.

La perte de la qualité au titre de laquelle un membre de cette commission a été nommé entraîne sa démission de plein droit.
