Article D1415-1-4 of the French Public Health Code

The term of office for members of the Institute’s Board of Directors and Scientific Council is five years, renewable, with the exception of Members of Parliament whose term of office expires with the legislature for which they were elected and Senators whose term of office expires with each partial renewal of the Senate. The terms of office of the Chairman of the Board of Directors and the Chairman of the Scientific Council are renewable.

La durée du mandat des membres du conseil d’administration et du conseil scientifique de l’institut est de cinq ans renouvelable à l’exception des députés dont le mandat expire avec la législature au titre de laquelle ils ont été élus et des sénateurs dont le mandat expire lors de chaque renouvellement partiel du Sénat. Les mandats du président du conseil d’administration et du président du conseil scientifique sont renouvelables.
