The specialised commission for medico-social care and support is responsible for :
1° Preparing an opinion on the draft regional health plan;
2° Contributing to the assessment of medico-social needs and analysing changes in these needs;
3° Proposing priorities for medico-social action to the plenary assembly;
4° Issuing an opinion on the drafting and updating of the interdepartmental programme to support people with disabilities and loss of autonomy;
5° To formulate any proposals on the conditions of access to medico-social services for people with disabilities and loss of autonomy, on the quality of medico-social support and care and on the principles of contractualisation implemented by the regional health agency with professionals, establishments, services, associations and other public services;
6° To draw up an activity report every five years, which is sent for information to the departmental councils, and in Corsica to the Executive Council and the relevant ministers, as well as to the Caisse nationale de solidarité pour l’autonomie.
