Article D147-39 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

When the sentence enforcement court decides that judicial supervision will apply to all of the sentence reductions from which the person has benefited and which have not been withdrawn, it may fix in its decision the date on which judicial supervision will end and not the duration of this measure.

Lorsque le tribunal de l’application des peines décide que la surveillance judiciaire portera sur la totalité des réductions de peine dont la personne a bénéficié et qui n’ont pas fait l’objet d’un retrait, il peut fixer dans sa décision la date à laquelle la surveillance judiciaire prendra fin et non la durée de cette mesure.
