The sentence enforcement judge may suspend the execution of all or part of the obligations of judicial supervision, including those resulting from placement under mobile electronic surveillance, for medical reasons, in particular if the person is hospitalised. This decision is made by order in accordance with the provisions of article 712-8.
The suspension is valid for a maximum of three months. It may be renewed under the same terms and conditions if the sentenced person’s state of health so justifies.
The obligations to which the sentenced person was subject, including those resulting from placement under mobile electronic surveillance, resume as of right as soon as the sentence enforcement judge finds, by order, that the sentenced person’s state of health no longer justifies the suspension.
If the judge suspends only part of the obligations, he may modify or supplement, during the period of suspension, some of the other obligations and prohibitions to which the sentenced person is subject, in particular by imposing as his place of residence the place where he is hospitalised.
