Article D211-57 of the French Sports Code

The terms of office of members of the Board of Directors and the Policy Councils are three years and may be renewed.

In the event of a vacancy occurring more than six months before the expiry of the term of office of a member of the Board of Directors and the Policy Councils, another member shall be appointed under the same conditions for the remainder of the term of office, except for elected members who shall be replaced by an alternate until the end of the term of office held by the incumbent.

The duties of a member of the Board of Directors and the Steering Committees are performed free of charge. However, they entitle members to reimbursement of travel and subsistence expenses in accordance with the regulations applicable to civil servants.

Les mandats des membres du conseil d’administration et des conseils d’orientation sont de trois ans renouvelables.

En cas de vacance du siège d’un membre du conseil d’administration et des conseils d’orientation survenant plus de six mois avant l’expiration de son mandat, un autre membre est nommé dans les mêmes conditions pour la durée du mandat à courir, sauf pour les membres élus qui sont remplacés par un suppléant jusqu’à la fin du mandat détenu par le titulaire.

Les fonctions de membre du conseil d’administration et des conseils d’orientation sont exercées à titre gratuit. Elles ouvrent droit, toutefois, au remboursement des frais de déplacement et de séjour dans les conditions prévues par la réglementation applicable aux personnels civils de l’Etat.
