Article D211-7 of the French Consumer Code

Any invoicing document given to the consumer, at the time of purchase of a good belonging to one of the categories mentioned in article D. 211-6, includes a statement to the effect that the goods benefit from a legal guarantee of conformity from the seller for a minimum period of two years from the time they are handed over to the consumer.

This article does not apply to the purchase of goods under an off-premises or distance contract.

Tout document de facturation remis au consommateur, lors de l’achat d’un bien appartenant à l’une des catégories mentionnées à l’article D. 211-6, comporte une mention selon laquelle ce bien bénéficie auprès du vendeur d’une garantie légale de conformité d’une durée minimale de deux ans à compter de sa remise au consommateur.


Le présent article ne s’applique pas à un achat de bien effectué dans le cadre d’un contrat conclu hors établissement ou à distance.
