Persons are admitted to prepare for the State diploma in youth, popular education and sport covered by article L. 212-1, by means of initial training, in an accredited training body mentioned in article R. 212-10-8, if they :
1° Submit their application via the national pre-registration procedure mentioned in the second paragraph of I of article L. 612-3 of the Education Code ;
2° Hold the baccalaureate on entry to the course;
3° Satisfy the prerequisites for entry into training specific to each diploma;
4° Meet the following selection criteria:
a) Consistency of professional project and motivation ;
b) Degree of personal practice of the sport concerned for the “sports development” speciality;
c) Good interpersonal skills and oral and written expression.
Each training organisation determines the capacity of its courses. When the number of applications exceeds these capacities, enrolments are decided by the director of the training organisation within the limits of the capacity and, excluding apprenticeships, in the order of ranking on the selection list. In accordance with article L. 612-3 of the Education Code, the academic authority sets a minimum percentage of successful baccalaureate holders who are in receipt of a national lycée grant.
Students in training must have a structure that enables them to undertake in-company training situations within the meaning of articles R. 212-10-19 and R. 212-10-20.
