Article D232-47 of the French Sports Code

Notification of the test shall be given to the athlete designated to be tested by the person in charge of the test or by the chaperone provided for inarticle R. 232-56 designated by that person.

The notification specifies the date, time, place and nature of the test. It must be signed by the athlete and given or forwarded without delay to the person in charge of testing or to the chaperone.

For athletes designated to be tested who do not train at a fixed location, or in the event of special circumstances that do not allow notification of the test to be made in writing, the agency shall determine the procedures for guaranteeing the origin and receipt of this notification. The approved sports federations shall ensure that those concerned are informed.

Refusal to read, sign or return the notification constitutes evasion of the taking of a sample within the meaning of 1° of article L. 232-9-2.

Une notification du contrôle est remise au sportif désigné pour être contrôlé par la personne chargée du contrôle ou par l’escorte prévue à l’article R. 232-56 désignée par elle.

La notification précise la date, l’heure, le lieu et la nature du contrôle. Elle doit être signée par le sportif et remise ou transmise sans délai à la personne chargée du contrôle ou à l’escorte.

Pour les sportifs désignés pour être contrôlés qui ne s’entraînent pas dans un lieu fixe, ou en cas de circonstances particulières ne permettant pas la notification du contrôle par écrit, l’agence fixe les modalités permettant de garantir l’origine et la réception de cette notification. Les fédérations sportives agréées en assurent la diffusion auprès des intéressés.

Le refus de prendre connaissance, de signer ou de retourner la notification est constitutif d’une soustraction au prélèvement d’un échantillon au sens du 1° de l’article L. 232-9-2.
