Article D322-16 of the French Sports Code

Each establishment draws up a surveillance and rescue organisation plan which sets out, depending on the configuration of the establishment mentioned in article D. 322-12:

1° The number of people responsible for ensuring supervision and the number of people responsible for assisting them ;

2° The number of people who may be admitted simultaneously to the bathing establishment with paid access to practise the activities in question. This number is determined according to the number of people mentioned in 1°.

This plan is sent to the departmental prefect two months before the establishment opens and after each modification.

The ministers responsible for civil security and sport shall establish the content of the surveillance and rescue organisation plan by decree.

Article D322-16

Chaque établissement établit un plan d’organisation de la surveillance et des secours qui fixe, en fonction de la configuration de l’établissement mentionné à l’article D. 322-12 :

1° Le nombre des personnes chargées de garantir la surveillance et le nombre des personnes chargées de les assister ;

2° Le nombre des pratiquants pouvant être admis simultanément dans l’établissement de baignade d’accès payant pour y pratiquer les activités considérées. Ce nombre est déterminé en fonction du nombre des personnes mentionnées au 1°.

Ce plan est transmis au préfet de département deux mois avant l’ouverture de l’établissement ainsi qu’après chaque modification.

Les ministres chargés de la sécurité civile et des sports fixent par arrêté le contenu du plan d’organisation de la surveillance et des secours.
