If the importance of the cases to be dealt with by the Commission so warrants, the First President of the Court of Cassation may appoint one or more vice-presidents of the Commission, chosen from among the presidents of chambers or councillors of the Court of Cassation.
The committee may act when, in addition to its chairman, at least three of its members are present.
In the event of a tie, the chairman of the committee has the casting vote.
The secretariat of the committee is provided by a registrar appointed by the chief registrar of the Court of Cassation.
The Committee’s opinions are notified to the Public Prosecutor at the Court of Cassation.
The provisions of article R. 111-5 of the Code de l’organisation judiciaire are applicable to the designations provided for in the first paragraph of this article.
