Article D49-81 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

In the exercise of the powers provided for in article 706-22-1 the Paris Sentence Enforcement Judge may appoint the penitentiary integration and probation service with territorial jurisdiction over the place of habitual residence or place of assignment of the person concerned to implement the supervision measures and ensure compliance with the obligations. This service reports regularly to this magistrate.

Where circumstances warrant, the Paris enforcement judge may delegate the monitoring of the measure to the enforcement judge of the court within whose jurisdiction the convicted person’s habitual residence or place of assignment is located, who will keep the judge informed of its progress.

Article D49-81

Dans l’exercice des compétences prévues à l’article 706-22-1 le juge de l’application des peines de Paris peut mandater le service pénitentiaire d’insertion et de probation territorialement compétent au regard du lieu de résidence habituelle ou du lieu d’assignation de l’intéressé pour mettre en oeuvre les mesures de contrôle et veiller au respect des obligations. Ce service rend compte régulièrement à ce magistrat.

Lorsque les circonstances le justifient, le juge de l’application des peines de Paris peut déléguer le suivi de la mesure au juge de l’application des peines du tribunal dans le ressort duquel est située la résidence habituelle ou le lieu d’assignation du condamné, lequel le tient informé de son déroulement.
