Article D594-12 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

Where the victim does not understand the French language, he or she is entitled, at his or her request, to a translation of the information essential to the exercise of his or her rights, in particular of the receipt for the lodging of a complaint given to him or her pursuant to Article 15-3.

Lorsque la victime ne comprend pas la langue française, elle a droit, à sa demande, à une traduction des mentions des informations indispensables à l’exercice de ses droits notamment du récépissé de dépôt de plainte qui lui est remis en application de l’article 15-3.
