The emergency department is equipped with

1° A reception room ensuring confidentiality ;

2° An examination and treatment area;

3° At least one reception room for life-threatening emergencies with the necessary means for immediate resuscitation;

4° A short-term hospitalisation unit with at least two beds, the capacity of which is adapted to the activity of the facility.

When an analysis of emergency activity reveals a high number of visits by children or patients requiring psychiatric care, the organisation of care within the short-term hospitalisation unit is adapted to these patients.
