Article D6124-24 of the French Public Health Code

The health care establishment authorised to carry out the activity mentioned in 3° of Article R. 6123-1 organises, either internally or by agreement with another establishment or within the framework of the network mentioned in Article R. 6123-26, permanent and immediate access for patients admitted to the emergency department:

1° Imaging equipment and competent imaging professionals ;

2° To medical biology analyses and to competent medical biology professionals.

In each case, the results of conventional imaging, ultrasound, CT scan, MRI and interventional imaging examinations or biochemistry, haematology, haemobiology, microbiology, toxicology, haemostasis and blood gas examinations and analyses, and their interpretation by the establishment or structure under agreement mentioned in the first paragraph, are sent to the emergency structure as soon as possible, and in any event, within a timeframe compatible with the patient’s state of health.

L’établissement de santé autorisé à exercer l’activité mentionnée au 3° de l’article R. 6123-1 organise en son sein ou par convention avec un autre établissement ou dans le cadre du réseau mentionné à l’article R. 6123-26, l’accès en permanence et sans délai des patients accueillis dans la structure des urgences :

1° Aux équipements d’imagerie ainsi qu’aux professionnels compétents de l’imagerie ;

2° Aux analyses de biologie médicale ainsi qu’aux professionnels compétents de la biologie médicale.

Dans chaque cas, les résultats des examens d’imagerie conventionnelle, d’échographie, de scanographie, d’IRM et d’imagerie interventionnelle ou des examens et analyses en biochimie, hématologie, hémobiologie, microbiologie, toxicologie, hémostase et gaz du sang, et leur interprétation par l’établissement ou la structure conventionné mentionné au premier alinéa, sont transmis à la structure des urgences dans les meilleurs délais, et en tout état de cause, dans des délais compatibles avec l’état de santé du patient.
