Article L1112-2 of the French Public Health Code

The quality of patient care is an essential objective for any healthcare establishment. It must regularly assess patient satisfaction, particularly with regard to reception and stay conditions. The results of these assessments are taken into account in the certification process defined in articles L. 6113-3 and L. 6113-4.

When patients are admitted, each institution provides them with a welcome booklet to which the inpatient charter is appended, in accordance with a standard model drawn up by the Minister for Health.
