Article L112-2 of the French Cinema and Moving Image Code

The Board of Directors decides on the business of the company. In particular, it decides on the general conditions for the allocation of financial support and approves the budget. At the initiative of the Chairman, strategic and budgetary guidelines are the subject of regular consultation with the various professional sectors concerned.

The powers of the Chairman, particularly with regard to individual decisions to award financial support, as well as the composition, the procedures for appointing the members mentioned in 2° and 3° of Article L. 112-1, the operating procedures and powers of the Board of Directors are specified by decree in the Conseil d’Etat.

Article L112-2

Le conseil d’administration règle par ses délibérations les affaires de l’établissement. A cet effet, notamment, il délibère sur les conditions générales d’attribution des soutiens financiers et approuve le budget. A l’initiative du président, les orientations stratégiques et budgétaires font l’objet d’une concertation régulière avec les différents secteurs professionnels intéressés.

Les attributions du président, notamment en matière de décisions individuelles d’attribution des aides financières, ainsi que la composition, les modalités de nomination des membres mentionnés aux 2° et 3° de l’article L. 112-1, les modalités de fonctionnement et les attributions du conseil d’administration sont précisées par décret en Conseil d’Etat.
