Article L112-6-1-A of the French Monetary and Financial Code

Professionals who, by electronic means, provide a reservation or rental service or put people in touch with each other with a view to renting accommodation located in France may not make any payment to the lessor by means of a monetary value stored in electronic form and usable by means of a physical medium within the meaning of article L. 315-9 of this code.

Les professionnels qui, par voie électronique, assurent un service de réservation ou de location ou de mise en relation en vue de la location d’un hébergement situé en France ne peuvent effectuer aucun paiement au profit du loueur par une valeur monétaire stockée sous forme électronique et utilisable au moyen d’un support physique au sens de l’article L. 315-9 du présent code.
