Article L123-2 of the French Insurance Code

In the case referred to in article L. 121-9, the insurer may not claim the portion of the premium corresponding to the time between the date of the loss and the date on which the crops should normally have been removed, or the date of the end of the cover fixed by the contract, if the latter date is prior to that of the normal removal of the crops.

Dans le cas mentionné à l’article L. 121-9, l’assureur ne peut réclamer la portion de prime correspondant au temps compris entre le jour de la perte et la date à laquelle aurait dû normalement avoir lieu l’enlèvement des récoltes, ou celle de la fin de la garantie fixée par le contrat, si cette dernière date est antérieure à celle de l’enlèvement normal des récoltes.
