Article L131-3 of the French Insurance Code

Insurance companies governed by this code which market supplementary health insurance contracts must include in the documents they send to their policyholders or which are used for advertising purposes, the conditions of reimbursement, in a simple and standardised manner, quantified in euros, for the most common care expenses or for those for which the out-of-pocket expenses are the highest, in accordance with the procedures specified by order of the Minister responsible for social security.

Les entreprises d’assurance régies par le présent code qui commercialisent des contrats d’assurance complémentaire en matière de santé doivent faire figurer dans les documents de communication à leurs assurés ou destinés à faire leur publicité les conditions de prise en charge, de façon simple et normalisée, chiffrée en euros, pour les frais de soins parmi les plus courants ou pour ceux pour lesquels le reste à charge est le plus important, selon des modalités précisées par arrêté du ministre chargé de la sécurité sociale.
