The Agency is administered by a Board of Directors comprising, in addition to the Chairman, appointed by decree, and staff representatives, five colleges comprising respectively:
1° Representatives of the State ;
2° Representatives of approved environmental protection associations, health system users’ associations approved under article L. 1114-1 and approved consumer protection associations, as well as national associations of victims of accidents at work and occupational diseases mentioned in article L. 1313-3 ;
3° Representatives of interested professional organisations;
4° Representatives of cross-industry employers’ organisations and trade unions representing employees at national level;
5° Elected representatives and qualified individuals chosen for their expertise in the areas covered by the Agency’s missions.
Voting rights are divided equally between the members of the college mentioned in 1° and the other members of the Board of Directors. In the event of a tie, the Chairman has the casting vote.
