Article L132-1-2 of the French Sports Code

The professional leagues created pursuant toarticle L. 132-1 are obliged to sign the Republican Commitment Contract mentioned inarticle 10-1 of law no. 2000-321 of 12 April 2000 on the rights of citizens in their relations with the administration.

The Republican Commitment Contract includes an undertaking by the professional leagues to participate in the promotion and dissemination of the principles of the Republican Commitment Contract to the players and public of their sport, under conditions determined by a decree of the Conseil d’Etat issued after consultation with the French National Olympic and Sports Committee.

Article L132-1-2

Les ligues professionnelles créées en application de l’article L. 132-1 ont l’obligation de souscrire le contrat d’engagement républicain mentionné à l’article 10-1 de la loi n° 2000-321 du 12 avril 2000 relative aux droits des citoyens dans leurs relations avec l’administration.

Le contrat d’engagement républicain comporte l’engagement pour les ligues professionnelles de participer à la promotion et à la diffusion, auprès des acteurs et publics de leur discipline sportive, des principes du contrat d’engagement républicain, dans des conditions déterminées par un décret en Conseil d’Etat pris après avis du Comité national olympique et sportif français.
