Article L1435-5-1 of the French Public Health Code

The regional health agencies may conclude a contract with a public health establishment and the practitioners mentioned in 1° of article L. 6152-1 working full-time in these establishments, on the basis of which these doctors may carry out an outpatient activity as part of their service obligations in an area characterised by insufficient healthcare provision or difficulties in accessing healthcare, as mentioned in article L. 1434-4. This contract may specify the conditions under which the practitioners of the establishments concerned are compensated for their hardship.

The conditions of practice of these practitioners are set out in an agreement signed between the regional health agency, the public health establishment and the structure or health professional who hosts them.

Les agences régionales de santé peuvent conclure avec un établissement public de santé et des praticiens mentionnés au 1° de l’article L. 6152-1 exerçant à temps plein dans ces établissements un contrat sur la base duquel ces médecins peuvent pratiquer une activité ambulatoire dans le cadre de leurs obligations de service dans une zone caractérisée par une offre de soins insuffisante ou des difficultés dans l’accès aux soins, mentionnée à l’article L. 1434-4. Ce contrat peut préciser les conditions d’indemnisation des sujétions des praticiens des établissements concernés.

Les conditions d’exercice de ces praticiens sont précisées dans le cadre d’une convention signée entre l’agence régionale de santé, l’établissement public de santé et la structure ou le professionnel de santé qui les accueille.
