Article L1441-29 of the French Labour Code

This list of candidates is composed, for each organisation, in such a way that the difference between the number of women and men among the number of councillors appointed to each council is no greater than one or, where the list includes fewer candidates than the number of seats remaining to be filled, in such a way as to reduce the difference between the number of councillors of each sex.

Cette liste de candidats est composée, pour chaque organisation, de manière à ce que l’écart entre le nombre de femmes et d’hommes parmi le nombre de conseillers désignés dans chaque conseil ne soit pas supérieur à un ou, lorsque la liste comprend un nombre de candidats inférieur au nombre de sièges restant à pourvoir, de manière à diminuer l’écart entre le nombre de conseillers de chaque sexe.
