Article L1442-3 of the French Labour Code

Industrial tribunal members are appointed for four years. Their term of office is automatically terminated in the event of loss of French nationality for any reason whatsoever.

When the term of office of outgoing labour tribunal members expires before the period set for the installation of their successors, they remain in office until their successors are installed.

Les conseillers prud’hommes sont nommés pour quatre ans. Leur mandat prend fin de plein droit en cas de perte de la nationalité française, pour quelque cause que ce soit.

Lorsque le mandat des prud’hommes sortants vient à expiration avant la période fixée pour l’installation de leurs successeurs, ils restent en fonctions jusqu’à cette installation.
