Article L211-1 of the French Cinema and Moving Image Code

Cinematographic representation is subject to obtaining an operating licence issued by the Minister of Culture.

This licence may be refused or issued subject to conditions for reasons relating to the protection of children and young people or respect for human dignity.

The conditions and procedures for issuing the visa are set by decree in the Conseil d’Etat.

La représentation cinématographique est subordonnée à l’obtention d’un visa d’exploitation délivré par le ministre chargé de la culture.

Ce visa peut être refusé ou sa délivrance subordonnée à des conditions pour des motifs tirés de la protection de l’enfance et de la jeunesse ou du respect de la dignité humaine.

Les conditions et les modalités de délivrance du visa sont fixées par décret en Conseil d’Etat.
