Contracts shall be formulated in clear and comprehensible terms and, if they are in writing, shall be legible. When the contract is concluded, or as soon as possible thereafter, the organiser or retailer shall provide the passenger with a copy or confirmation of the contract on a durable medium. The traveller is entitled to request a paper copy if the contract was concluded in the physical and simultaneous presence of the parties.
For off-premises contracts as defined inarticle L. 221-1 of the French Consumer Code, a copy or confirmation of the contract is provided to the passenger on paper or, with the passenger’s agreement, on another durable medium.
The contract or its confirmation includes all the content of the agreement, which includes all the information mentioned in article L. 211-8, and additional information relating in particular to the traveller’s specific requirements that the organiser or retailer has accepted, the full contact details of the organiser’s or retailer’s local representative and his guarantor, as well as the compulsory information set out by regulation.
This information must be presented in a clear, comprehensible and conspicuous manner.
In good time before the start of the journey or stay, the organiser or retailer shall provide the traveller with the necessary receipts, travel vouchers and tickets, information on the scheduled time of departure and, where applicable, the latest check-in time, as well as the scheduled times of stopovers, connections and arrival.
