Article L212-17 of the French Cinema and Moving Image Code

The conditions for issuing and withdrawing approval are set by decree in the Conseil d’Etat.

In particular, this approval is subject to compliance with technical specifications which the decree may entrust to the Chairman of the Centre national du cinéma et de l’image animée to define under 2° of article L. 111-3. The decree sets out the conditions under which the Chairman of the Centre national du cinéma et de l’image animée may grant approval derogating from certain technical specifications.

Article L212-17

Les conditions de délivrance et de retrait de l’homologation sont fixées par décret en Conseil d’Etat.

Cette homologation est notamment subordonnée au respect de spécifications techniques dont le décret peut confier la définition au président du Centre national du cinéma et de l’image animée au titre du 2° de l’article L. 111-3. Le décret prévoit les conditions dans lesquelles le président du Centre national du cinéma et de l’image animée peut accorder une homologation dérogeant à certaines spécifications techniques.
