Article L213-14 of the French Cinema and Moving Image Code

The contract granting cinematographic performance rights includes the following stipulations:

1° The title and technical characteristics of the cinematographic work for which the rights are granted for exhibition in cinemas;

2° The date of delivery of a copy of the cinematographic work and the date of commencement of performance of the contract;

3° The minimum period of performance of the contract and the conditions for its renewal or termination;

4° The minimum number of screenings to be organised;

5° The rate of the grantor’s proportional share;

6° The conditions for placement in the catchment area.

Le contrat de concession des droits de représentation cinématographique comporte les stipulations suivantes :


1° Le titre et les caractéristiques techniques de l’œuvre cinématographique dont les droits sont concédés pour l’exploitation en salle de spectacles cinématographiques ;


2° La date de livraison d’une copie de l’œuvre cinématographique et la date de début d’exécution du contrat ;


3° La durée minimale d’exécution du contrat ainsi que les conditions de sa reconduction ou de sa résiliation ;


4° Le nombre minimum de séances devant être organisées ;


5° Le taux de la participation proportionnelle du concédant ;


6° Les conditions de placement dans la zone d’attraction cinématographique.
