Article L214-2 of the French Cinema and Moving Image Code

The organisations mentioned in Article L. 214-1 may organise the screenings listed in 1° of this article, which consist of the showing of long-running cinematographic works, for a limited number of screenings, determined per year and per association or group, set by decree.

This decree also sets the conditions under which this limit may be waived for associations and groups whose exclusive purpose is to contribute to the development of film culture and image education.

Article L214-2

Les organismes mentionnés à l’article L. 214-1 peuvent organiser les séances figurant au 1° de cet article, qui consistent dans la représentation d’œuvres cinématographiques de longue durée, pour un nombre limité, déterminé par an et par association ou groupement, fixé par décret.

Ce décret fixe également les conditions dans lesquelles il peut être dérogé à cette limite pour les associations et groupements dont l’objet exclusif est de contribuer au développement de la culture cinématographique et à la formation à l’image.
