Article L214-6 of the French Cinema and Moving Image Code

The screenings referred to in 6° of Article L. 214-1, which consist in the performance of long-running cinematographic works, may only be organised after authorisation has been granted by the President of the Centre national du cinéma et de l’image animée under conditions laid down by decree.

This authorisation is granted taking into account the date of issue of the cinema licence, the location and number of screenings, the social and cultural interest of the performances and the local situation of the cinema.

When these screenings are organised by the associations and groups mentioned in 1° of article L. 214-1, the limit provided for in Article L. 214-2 does not apply.

Article L214-6

Les séances mentionnées au 6° de l’article L. 214-1, qui consistent dans la représentation d’œuvres cinématographiques de longue durée, ne peuvent être organisées qu’après délivrance d’une autorisation par le président du Centre national du cinéma et de l’image animée dans des conditions fixées par décret.

Cette autorisation est accordée en tenant compte de la date de délivrance de visa d’exploitation cinématographique, du lieu et du nombre des séances, de l’intérêt social et culturel des représentations et de la situation locale de l’exploitation.

Lorsque ces séances sont organisées par les associations et groupements mentionnés au 1° de l’article L. 214-1, la limite prévue à l’article L. 214-2 ne s’applique pas.
