In companies with at least two thousand employees and at least two establishments with at least fifty employees each, each representative trade union in the company may appoint a central company trade union delegate, separate from the establishment trade union delegates.
This central trade union delegate is appointed by a trade union which received at least 10% of the votes cast in the first round of the most recent elections of members of the social and economic committee, whatever the number of voters, by adding together the votes from all the establishments included in these companies.
All the provisions relating to the company trade union delegate apply to the central trade union delegate.
In companies with less than two thousand employees and at least two establishments with at least fifty employees each, each representative trade union may appoint one of its establishment trade union delegates to also perform the duties of central company trade union delegate.
