Article L222-2 of the French Code governing the entry and residence of foreign nationals and the right of asylum

When the administrative inadmissibility order is served on the foreign nationals mentioned in article L. 222-1 while they are present in France, they are given a period of time from this date to leave French territory which, except in an emergency, may not be less than one month.
They may not be deported automatically before the expiry of this period if it has been granted to them.

Article L222-2

Lorsque la décision d’interdiction administrative du territoire est notifiée aux étrangers mentionnés à l’article L. 222-1 alors qu’ils sont présents en France, ils bénéficient à compter de cette date d’un délai pour quitter le territoire français qui, sauf urgence, ne peut être inférieur à un mois.
Ils ne peuvent être reconduits d’office à la frontière avant l’expiration de ce délai s’il leur a été accordé.
