Article L2311-4 of the French Public Health Code

The sexual health centres are authorised to supply contraceptive drugs, products or objects free of charge to minors wishing to maintain secrecy and to people who are not covered by a statutory or regulatory health insurance scheme. In these cases, the costs of medical biology tests ordered for contraceptive prescriptions are borne by the sexual health centres.

The procedures for applying this article shall be specified by decree.

Les centres de santé sexuelle sont autorisés à délivrer, à titre gratuit, des médicaments, produits ou objets contraceptifs, aux mineurs désirant garder le secret ainsi qu’aux personnes ne bénéficiant pas de prestations maladie, assurées par un régime légal ou réglementaire. Dans ces cas, les frais d’examens de biologie médicale ordonnés en vue de prescriptions contraceptives sont supportés par les centres de santé sexuelle.

Les modalités d’application du présent article sont précisées par décret.
