Article L2334-16 of the French General Code of Local Authorities

Benefit from the allocation provided for in article L. 2334-15 :

1° The first two-thirds of municipalities with 10,000 inhabitants or more, classified, each year, according to a synthetic index of resources and charges defined in article L. 2334-17;

2° The first tenth of municipalities with a population of between 5,000 and 9,999 inhabitants, classified each year according to a synthetic index of resources and charges defined in Article L. 2334-18.

However, municipalities whose per capita financial potential is more than two and a half times the average per capita financial potential of municipalities in the same demographic group defined in 1° and 2° may not be eligible.

For the application of this paragraph, the communes mentioned in I of article L. 2334-22-2 are not considered to be communes with 10,000 or more inhabitants.

Article L2334-16

Bénéficient de la dotation prévue à l’article L. 2334-15 :

1° Les deux premiers tiers des communes de 10 000 habitants et plus, classées, chaque année, en fonction d’un indice synthétique de ressources et de charges défini à l’article L. 2334-17 ;

2° Le premier dixième des communes dont la population est comprise entre 5 000 et 9 999 habitants, classées, chaque année, en fonction d’un indice synthétique de ressources et de charges défini à l’article L. 2334-18.

Toutefois, ne peuvent être éligibles les communes dont le potentiel financier par habitant est supérieur à deux fois et demi le potentiel financier moyen par habitant des communes de même groupe démographique défini aux 1° et 2°.

Pour l’application du présent paragraphe, les communes mentionnées au I de l’article L. 2334-22-2 ne sont pas considérées comme des communes de 10 000 habitants et plus.
