Article L251-4 of the French Code governing the entry and residence of foreign nationals and the right of asylum

The administrative authority may, by reasoned decision, attach to the decision imposing an obligation to leave French territory issued on the basis of 2° or 3° of Article L. 251-1 from being banned from travelling on French territory for a maximum period of three years.

L’autorité administrative peut, par décision motivée, assortir la décision portant obligation de quitter le territoire français édictée sur le fondement des 2° ou 3° de l’article L. 251-1 d’une interdiction de circulation sur le territoire français d’une durée maximale de trois ans.
