Article L2541-5 of the French General Code of Local Authorities

In municipalities with a population of 3,500 or more, the municipal council draws up its rules of procedure within six months of taking office. The rules of procedure previously adopted continue to apply until the new rules of procedure are drawn up.

The rules of procedure may be referred to the administrative court.

Dans les communes de 3 500 habitants et plus, le conseil municipal établit son règlement intérieur dans les six mois qui suivent son installation. Le règlement intérieur précédemment adopté continue à s’appliquer jusqu’à l’établissement du nouveau règlement.

Le règlement intérieur peut être déféré devant le tribunal administratif.
