Article L310-5 of the French Insurance Code

For the transactions referred to in 1° and the last paragraph of article L. 310-1, the State in which the policyholder has his principal residence or, if the policyholder is a legal entity, the State in which the registered office or place of business of that legal entity to which the contract relates, is considered to be the State of the commitment.

Pour les opérations mentionnées au 1° et au dernier alinéa de l’article L. 310-1, est regardé comme Etat de l’engagement l’Etat où le souscripteur a sa résidence principale ou, si le souscripteur est une personne morale, l’Etat où est situé le siège social ou l’établissement de cette personne morale auquel le contrat se rapporte.
