Article L312-5 of the French Sports Code

Without prejudice to the provisions of the town planning code and the building and housing code applicable to establishments open to the public and subject to the provisions of article L. 312-7 of this code, arenas intended to host sporting events open to the public must be approved.

Sans préjudice des dispositions du code de l’urbanisme et du code de la construction et de l’habitation applicables aux établissements recevant du public et sous réserve des dispositions de l’article L. 312-7 du présent code, les enceintes destinées à recevoir des manifestations sportives ouvertes au public font l’objet d’une homologation.
