When they complete the periods of employment or training for which they have been called up, reservists who are employees or public servants, with the exception of those governed by laws no. 84-16 of 11 January 1984 on statutory provisions relating to the State civil service, no. 84-53 of 26 January 1984 on statutory provisions relating to the territorial civil service and no. 86-33 of 9 January 1986 on statutory provisions relating to the hospital civil service, are placed at the disposal of the National Public Health Agency by their employer. They are entitled to continued remuneration.
When they complete, during their working time, the periods of employment or training for which they have been called up, civil servant reservists are placed on leave to complete a period of activity in the health reserve for the duration of the periods in question.
The National Public Health Agency compensates each employer for absences during periods of employment or training completed by the health reservist and, where applicable, for absences in the event of an accident or illness attributable to service in the health reserve.
Reservist students not paid for their studies and unemployed reservists benefit from the social protection provisions applicable to non-tenured State employees.
