Article L314-25 of the French Consumer Code

The persons responsible for providing the borrower with explanations of the loans mentioned in articles L. 312-1 to L. 312-3 and to collect the information needed to draw up the sheet provided for in article L. 312-17 are trained in the distribution of consumer credit and the prevention of over-indebtedness. The employer of these persons shall make available, for control purposes, the training certificate referred to in article L. 6353-1 du code du travail, established by one of the lenders whose loans are offered, at the point of sale or by a registered training organisation. The minimum requirements that this training must meet are defined by decree.

Les personnes chargées de fournir à l’emprunteur les explications sur les prêts mentionnés aux articles L. 312-1 à L. 312-3 et de recueillir les informations nécessaires à l’établissement de la fiche prévue à l’article L. 312-17 sont formées à la distribution du crédit à la consommation et à la prévention du surendettement. L’employeur de ces personnes tient à disposition, à des fins de contrôle, l’attestation de formation mentionnée à l’article L. 6353-1 du code du travail, établie par un des prêteurs dont les crédits sont proposés, sur le lieu de vente ou par un organisme de formation enregistré. Les exigences minimales auxquelles doit répondre cette formation sont définies par décret.
