Article L315-5 of the French Consumer Code

Where the advertising is in writing and whatever the medium, the information relating to the nature of the transaction, the conditions for determining the overall effective rate and, in the case of a promotional rate, the period during which that rate applies, shall appear in a font size at least as large as that used to indicate any other information relating to the characteristics of the financing and shall be included in the main body of the advertising text.

Lorsque la publicité est écrite et quel qu’en soit le support, les informations relatives à la nature de l’opération, aux conditions de détermination du taux effectif global et, s’il s’agit d’un taux promotionnel, à la période durant laquelle ce taux s’applique, figurent dans une taille de caractères au moins aussi importante que celle utilisée pour indiquer toute autre information relative aux caractéristiques du financement et sont inscrites dans le corps principal du texte publicitaire.
