Subject to legislative provisions requiring wages to be paid in a specific form, wages are paid in cash or by crossed cheque or by transfer to a bank or post office account held by the employee or jointly by the employee. The employee may not appoint a third party to receive his salary.
Any stipulation to the contrary is null and void.
Below a monthly amount determined by decree, the salary is paid in cash to the employee who requests it.
Above a monthly amount determined by decree, the salary is paid by crossed cheque or by transfer to a bank or post office account of which the employee is the holder or joint holder.
