Article L341-43 of the French Consumer Code

If the lender, in breach of the provisions of article L. 313-38, for the seller, in breach of the provisions of article L. 313-41 or for the lessor, in breach of the provisions of article L. 313-62 for a hire-purchase contract and a hire contract with a promise to sell not to return the sums mentioned in these articles, is punishable by a fine of 300,000 euros.

Article L341-43

Le fait pour le prêteur, en infraction aux dispositions de l’article L. 313-38, pour le vendeur, en infraction aux dispositions de l’article L. 313-41 ou pour le bailleur, en infraction aux dispositions de l’article L. 313-62 pour un contrat de location-vente et de location assortie d’une promesse de vente de ne pas restituer les sommes mentionnées à ces articles, est puni d’une amende de 300 000 euros.
