The foreign national may ask the liberties and detention judge for the assistance of an interpreter and for his or her file to be communicated. The same applies to the ad hoc administrator in the case of the minor mentioned in article L. 343-2.
The fees and allowances of interpreters appointed to assist the foreign national during the legal proceedings for detention in the waiting area provided for in this chapter shall be borne by the State and without recourse against the foreign national, under the conditions laid down for criminal, correctional or police court costs.
