Article L356-3 of the French Insurance Code

Where the participating insurance undertaking, reinsurance undertaking, insurance group company, mutual group association, social protection group company or mixed financial holding company referred to in Article L. 356-2 is itself a subsidiary undertaking of another insurance or reinsurance undertaking, another insurance group company, another mutual group association, another social protection insurance group company or another mixed financial holding company which has its head office in the European Union, the provisions of Sections II, III, IV, V and VI of this Chapter apply only at the level of the ultimate parent undertaking at EU level.

Article L356-3

Lorsque l’entreprise d’assurance ou de réassurance participante, la société de groupe d’assurance, l’union mutualiste de groupe, la société de groupe assurantiel de protection sociale ou la compagnie financière holding mixte mentionnée à l’article L. 356-2 est elle-même une entreprise filiale d’une autre entreprise d’assurance ou de réassurance, d’une autre société de groupe d’assurance, d’une autre union mutualiste de groupe, d’une autre société de groupe assurantiel de protection sociale ou d’une autre compagnie financière holding mixte ayant son siège social dans l’Union européenne, les dispositions des sections II, III, IV, V et VI du présent chapitre s’appliquent seulement au niveau de l’entreprise mère supérieure au niveau de l’Union.
