The profession of industrial property attorney is incompatible with the practice of any other profession, subject to specific legislative or regulatory provisions.

It is, however, compatible with teaching duties, as well as those of arbitrator, mediator, conciliator or court expert.

Article L422-13

La profession de conseil en propriété industrielle est incompatible avec l’exercice de toute autre profession, sous réserve de dispositions législatives ou réglementaires particulières.

Elle est toutefois compatible avec les fonctions d’enseignement, ainsi qu’avec celles d’arbitre, de médiateur, de conciliateur ou d’expert judiciaire.
