Article L4341-6 of the French Public Health Code

Notwithstanding the provisions of article L. 4341-2, the ministers responsible for higher education and health, after obtaining the opinion of a committee appointed by joint decree, may authorise to continue to practise their profession, either without any limitation, or for one or more establishments or for a specific type of activity, persons who, on 1 January 1964, usually performed acts of re-education “constituting a treatment of pathological anomalies” of the voice, speech and oral or written language, outside the presence of a doctor, without holding one of the qualifications mentioned in article L. 4341-2 and who had applied for authorisation before 1 July 1972.

Article L4341-6

Par dérogation aux dispositions de l’article L. 4341-2, les ministres chargés de l’enseignement supérieur et de la santé, après avis d’une commission nommée par arrêté conjoint, peuvent autoriser à continuer à exercer leur profession, soit sans limitation aucune, soit pour un ou plusieurs établissements ou pour un mode d’activité déterminé, les personnes qui, à la date du 1er janvier 1964, exécutaient habituellement des actes de rééducation ” constituant un traitement des anomalies de nature pathologique ” de la voix, de la parole et du langage oral ou écrit, hors de la présence du médecin, sans être munies de l’un des titres mentionnés à l’article L. 4341-2 et qui avaient déposé une demande d’autorisation avant le 1er juillet 1972.
