The regional waste prevention and management plan provided for in Article L. 541-13 of the Environment Code is drawn up, at the initiative of the Corsican territorial collectivity, by a commission made up of representatives of the Corsican territorial collectivity, the communes and their groupings responsible for waste collection or treatment, the State departments and bodies concerned, in particular the regional health agency, consular chambers, professional organisations involved in waste production and management and approved environmental protection associations.
The Corsican local authority will coordinate and lead the actions carried out by the various players in terms of the circular economy, particularly in terms of applying the measures in the territorial plan, in conjunction with the local authorities.
The draft plan is, after receiving the opinion of the competent departmental commissions on the environment, health and technological risks and the Corsican economic, social, environmental and cultural council, submitted to a public enquiry carried out in accordance with Chapter III of Title II of Book I of the Environment Code and then approved by the Assembly of Corsica.
